Translational research

Dr. Monica Lupi graduated in Physics at the University of Milan. She got her PhD in Life Science from the Open University and acquired skills in cellular pharmacology at the Istituto di Ricerche Farmacologiche Mario Negri IRCCS. Her research focused on the application of mathematical models useful for interpreting the cell cycle and the effects of chemical and physical agents on the proliferation of cancer cells. She led research projects concerning the study of new effective drug combinations. As Head of Laboratory of Cellular Pharmacology, she is currently evaluating the effects of Tumor Treating Fields (TTFields) in combination with other anticancer therapies, mainly using in vitro models.
