I received my PhD in Medical and Molecular Genetics at King’s College London, London (UK). Whilst writing up my PhD thesis, I joined the group of Prof. Dr. Carsten B. Schmidt-Weber and Dr. Stefanie Eyerich at the Helmhotz Zentrum (Munich, Germany). Having successfully completed my PostDoc in Germany, and in line with my expertise spanning genetics and immunology, I moved to the University of Oxford under the co-supervision of Prof. Holm Uhlig and Prof. Fiona Powrie. I recently moved back to Italy where I joined the group of Prof. Silvio Danese. Here, I am leading a project aimed at understanding the effects of diet on intestinal fibrosis in patients affected by IBD.
