Gianluca got his Postdoctoral Degree in Molecular Medicine at the University of Milan. During this period he worked at the Laboratory of Molecular Gastroenterology of Humanitas Clinical Institute and his research activity was focused on the fragment analysis, sanger sequencing and immunohistochemistry in patients with hereditary colorectal and pancreatic cancer to understand the clinical/molecular characterization and prognostic implications of colorectal synchronous tumors. In the following years, he applied Next-Generation-Sequencing, Sanger sequencing and Pyrosequencing to study different types of human pathologies, such as, colorectal, pancreatic and breast cancer.
