Gabriele De Simone graduated in Biology at the University of Rome “RomaTre”, where he studied the polyfunctional response of CD8 T cells in HIV patients, following highly-antiretroviral therapy. In 2016 he joined Lab of Translational Immunology headed by Enrico Lugli, being enrolled in the PhD program of Open University at IRCCS Humanitas Research Hospital. Here, in 2020 he obtained a PhD degree in immunology.

During his studies he investigated mechanisms involved in naïve and memory CD8 T cell differentiation and their translational applications. From 2021 he joined the Humanitas Flow Cytometry Core facility, where he currently work as specialist and technologist.
