Federica obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology in 2018 from the University of Pavia, where she also received her Master’s degree in Medical and Pharmaceutical Biotechnology in 2021. In December 2021 she joined the lab of Medical Genetics & RNA Biology at Humanitas Research Hospital, thanks to a junior research fellowship.

Currently she is pursuing her PhD in Molecular and Experimental Medicine at Humanitas University and she is focused on the study of the mechanisms involved in the dysregulation of alternative splicing and back-splicing in the context of multiple sclerosis.
