Elena Saba

Postdoc fellow

Elena Saba obtained her degree in Biology at the University of Milan and she completed her PhD in Pharmacology Chemotherapy and Toxicology at the CNR’s Neuroscience Institute in Milan, studying voltage-gated calcium channels and calcium-binding proteins in neurons. She also is qualified as a Professional Biologist. From 2007 to 2012, she worked as post-doc researcher in the group of Diego Fornasari at University of Milan – CNR’s Neuroscience Institute studying molecular and genetic regulation of Cytochome P450, nuclear proteins and transcription factors.

Starting from 2012, she moved to Humanitas Research Hospital and Humanitas University where she does research in Biology, Medicine and Pharmacology, currently working at the Department of Oncology with projects on MDS syndromes approaching molecular, cellular and genetic aspects of these pathologies.
