Cellular and Molecular Endocrinology Lab research is mainly focused on the pathogenesis of endocrine tumors (mainly pituitary and neuroendocrine tumors) and the mechanisms involved in determining the sensitivity of these tumors to medical treatment. The Research activity is strictly linked to the Clinical activity of both Pituitary Unit and ENETS Multidisciplinary group on Neuroendocrine Tumors at Humanitas Research Hospital.

Actually Lab’s activity is focusing on:

the impact of cytoskeleton manipulation on Neuroendocrine tumorigenesis

the intracellular interplay of different drugs in the control of neuroendocrine tumor proliferation

the role of tumor microenvironment in the control of NET progression and response to medical treatment
